Game Mechanics for Five Player Stories
Player Stories (From Activity 3)
1. As Beart and Elli, we want to use our unique sizes, powers and strength to solve the puzzles of this labyrinth-like cave system.
3. As Elli, I want to use my adaptations to burn through the spider’s cobwebs, so that the way out of the cave is no longer blocked.
4. As Beart, I want to use my claws to slash through the Molemen that want to take Elli’s adaptations.
5. As Elli, I want to use my small size to pass through the cave vent which Beart cannot access, to reach a switch which opens the door for Beart.
9. As Elli, I want to use my flying ability to reach some high place which Beart cannot reach, to turn on a switch which opens the door for Beart.

Mechanics Appealing to Target Audience
Of the mechanics above, Sam would like the ones to do with puzzle solving, as mentioned in the player experience goal post. This stems from Sam ability to create games, and solving coding problems whilst creating games. Sam would also like adaptations, especially collecting them, due to his love of Pokemon Go (Niantic, 2016), a game where collection is a core mechanic.

|Beart can push these boulders by the player running into them using the D or A key. From then the player can move the boulder to fill over a pit.|
