Mood board images + sources:

Based on the style and mood of your game, identify key look-and-feel elements of your studio’s game by answering the following questions:

  • How many imaginary spatial dimensions does your game require?

3D. Set in real life

  • How big is your game world? Is accuracy of scale important?

Our game is set in a small suburb. That has been blocked off by a police barricade. So only a little bit of homes are accessible.  The scale of our game is 1:1 with the real world.

  • How is your world bounded?

That has been blocked off by a police barricade. So only a little bit of homes are accessible.

  • Is your game world set in any particular historic period or geographical location? When and where?

Set in the modern era (ie. 2017). Geographical location is in suburbia.

  • Does your game take place indoors or outdoors, or both? If indoors, what are the furnishings and interior décor like? If outdoors, what is the geography and architecture like?

Player starts outdoors outside of the targeted building. Player can enter druggies building to arrest them. Indoors is dank, scungy, like inside a drug dealers den. Outside is like a normal suburb, see image above.

  • Are there any people in your game world? What are they like? If there aren’t any people in the game, what are there instead, and what do they look like and how do they behave?

Drug dealers. They look stereotypical (describe stereotypical drug dealers). Some run away from you, some try to fire at you. Hostages, they are scared, will only try to escape druggies when the druggies are neutralised. Cops, some will stand at the barricade trying to stop people going over the barricade. Other cops might join you in the raid, judge you if you do something wrong, quite moral. Fake hostages

  • How will the sounds you use in your game reflect the visual style of the game?

Police sirens. Intense music. Gun fire. If hostage screaming.

Be specific of what we’re talking about

– What is the goal of the game?

Our goal is to arrest all the drug dealers, without killing or shooting where unnecessary. Furthermore, the player must stop the drug dealers running away, whilst avoiding some drug dealers from killing you. The player must try to save the hostages, and stop them from dying in friendly fire. This has to be done within 10 minutes.

– How is the goal of the game accomplished? What does the player do?

The player first must complete the goal within the time frame for the mission to be considered a success. The player will further be graded based on how well they did, for such as how many hostages they saved, how many druggies they arrested, how many times they shot, was it justified. The player will know how well they did based on what grade they got. As a bonus if you recover drugs that adds to your score. Fake hostages (idea)

– What are the challenges of the game?

– Where does the game take place?

In a suburb, raiding a suburban drug house.

As a police officer, it is my duty to the people of the city that I act in a morally correct manner, by not shooting unarmed offenders, and only discharging my weapon where appropriate, such as when a drug dealer is firing at me.

Playing as a police officer, I will try to save all of the hostages, through utilising handcuffs/gun to arrest all of the drug dealers, holding them captive.

As a police officer I want to recover all the drugs located in the suburban house, to rid the city of all drugs.

As a police officer, I want to use my handcuffs to arrest all of the fleeing drug dealers, so that no more drugs are put onto the streets.

As a police officer, I want to use my gun to fire at the drug dealers that are shooting at me, whilst avoiding hostages and avoiding killing those drug, so that I can arrest them and also abide within the law.

As a police officer, I want to arrest all of the drug dealers, and save all of the hostages in 10 minutes, so that the situation doesn’t escalate further and people don’t die.

As a fellow police officer, I will protect my colleagues, by making sure that they don’t get shot by the armed drug dealers, through wounding the armed drug dealers before they shoot at my fellow policemen, so that they can go home to see their families after the raid.
